About the trip
Your group performs on the Macedonian National Theatre stage in Skopje, at an international competition open to every style. Six nights in the summer holiday, with master classes, a Matka Canyon day and the old city.
Itinerary

Arrival in Skopje
Group flight from Tel Aviv, and in the evening a short walk across Macedonia Square and the Stone Bridge.

Accreditation and stage rehearsal
Accreditation on the competition's opening day and a light and sound rehearsal on the national theatre stage.

Competition day and master class
A stage day in front of the international jury, with the festival master classes alongside.

Competition slots by the category schedule, then a tour of the Old Bazaar and Kale Fortress.

A boat ride on Matka Lake between the cliffs and a visit to the Sveti Andrea monastery at the water's edge.

Parents' FAQ
Which styles can my child compete in, and at what age?
X-Dance is a contest for every kind of dance: classical, modern and contemporary, show and variety, hip hop and street, and folklore too. Dancers can enter as a solo, duo, trio, group or formation. We settle the disciplines and age groups in writing with the organisers before we register.
What happens on the days without a performance?
A full day in Matka Canyon with a boat ride on the lake and an old monastery at the water's edge. A tour of old Skopje with the Old Bazaar and Kale Fortress, plus the cable car up Mount Vodno. The festival master classes are open to the dancers too.
Where do they sleep and what about food?
The whole group stays in one hotel in Skopje, in shared rooms arranged from a list we build with the teacher. Breakfast and dinner are included every day. Lunches are not included, and there is always a convenient stop to eat.
When do participation and the repertoire need to be locked?
The organisers close entries months before the festival, and registration includes pre selection videos of every piece. So the group chooses and films its pieces well ahead of departure. We confirm the exact 2027 date with the organisers and remind you in time.
