About the trip
Four contest days in Rimini, where classical ballet, jazz modern, hip hop and folk are each judged in a separate category. Six nights on the Adriatic, masterclasses, a friendship concert and a full day in San Marino.

Flight to Bologna, arrival in Rimini
Flight from Tel Aviv to Bologna, private coach to Rimini and an opening evening on the Lungomare promenade.

Contest opens, stage rehearsal
Registration with the organisers, a technical rehearsal on stage and a walk through old Rimini to the Tiberius Bridge.

The group takes the stage in its categories, and the evening closes on Rimini beach.

Parents' FAQ
My daughter dances hip hop and her friend does ballet. Can both compete on the same trip?
Yes. Sun of Italy is a multi genre contest. Classical ballet, jazz modern, hip hop, folk and ballroom are each judged in a separate category, and every dancer competes against dancers of her own style and age group.
The dates fall just before the summer holiday. How many school days does this cost?
The group leaves on Thursday 17 June and returns on 23 June. The middle and high school summer holiday starts on 21 June, so the only school days inside the trip are Thursday the 17th and Sunday the 20th.
My child is vegetarian and also has an allergy. What about the food?
The hotel is on half board, so breakfast and dinner every day. Before departure we collect the dietary preferences and restrictions from every family and pass them to the hotel in advance. Lunches are usually eaten together during the day and are not included.
Is there free time at the beach, and who supervises the dancers then?
Rimini is a seaside town, and any time at the sea or on the promenade happens as a group activity with the school staff and our escort. The hours and the area are set in advance, and the dancers never leave the hotel on their own. Every other movement is on the group's private coach.
