About the trip
One competition day on an international stage at the Cubex Center in Prague, run in two skill levels, so a school team performs against groups at its own level. Around it, six nights in Prague: Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Josefov and a day in Kutna Hora.

Arrival in Prague and the Old Town
Flight from Tel Aviv to Prague and an evening walk in the Old Town Square by the Astronomical Clock.

Prague Castle and festival opening
Morning at Prague Castle, then registration and the festival opening in the afternoon.

Charles Bridge, Josefov and rehearsals
Guided tour of Charles Bridge and the Josefov Jewish Quarter, then rehearsals for the competition.

Competition day at the Cubex Center
The group takes the stage at the Cubex Center in front of a judging panel and groups from across Europe.

Parents' FAQ
My daughter has only danced for two years. Does she belong at an international competition?
Yes. The competition runs two skill levels: level A for advanced pre professional dancers, and level B for amateurs and dancers with under three years of training. The group competes at the level that fits it, against groups at exactly the same stage.
Which category will she compete in, and how are ages divided?
The divisions are Kids for ages 9 to 12, Junior for 13 to 16 and Senior for 17 to 24. Groups and formations are placed by average age, so a dancer at the edge of a range still dances with her own group. The formats that suit a school team are Formation, for 11 to 25 dancers, and Production, for 20 and up.
What happens on competition day, and what about the other days?
The competition is on Saturday 07/11 at the Cubex Center in Prague and runs through the day by category. The running order is set by the organizer and published close to the date, and we pass it to parents right away. The other days are touring days in Prague and outside it.
The trip falls on school days. How is that handled with the school?
That is true, there is no school break on these dates and the trip includes school days. We issue an official letter with the dates and trip details for the school. It is best to arrange the absence approval at the start of the school year, not a month before departure.
