Parents' FAQ
Why are there no dates? When does the trip run?
Because the trip is built for one group, and we choose the week together with you. The New York studios take groups all year, so we set the week around the school holidays and flight availability. Registration opens only once the dates are locked.
Is this a competition? What will my daughter actually be doing?
It is not a competition and there are no judges. Every morning is a class or a master class at a different New York studio, with teachers who train professional dancers. At the end of the week the group performs on a Manhattan stage, so nobody comes home without performing.
My daughter is 12. Will she be able to take all the classes?
We book private classes for the group, built around your group and its level. Some New York studios set a minimum age of their own. Before the schedule is locked we go through the ages in the group and pick only studios and formats that fit every dancer.
What is needed to enter the United States?
A valid passport and a United States entry authorization (ESTA) for every traveller. We send a checklist and a timeline so it is handled early and not at the last minute. The fee itself is not included in the trip.
