Parents' FAQ

Does my child need a professional level or competition experience to take part?

No. This is a workshop trip, with no selection and no audition. We brief the studio in advance on the ages and level of the group, and the classes are built to match.

There is no competition and no show at the end, so what do the dancers get?

That is exactly the point of this trip. Instead of a whole week spent preparing three minutes on stage, the dancers get a week of classes with Italian teachers. No pressure of judging and no scores.

How many hours a day do they dance, and what happens the rest of the time?

Classes are concentrated in the morning, and the afternoon goes to touring Florence. Mid-week there is a full day out in Tuscany with no classes. The trip combines serious work with a real travel experience.

What about food during the day?

Breakfast and dinner are included at the hotel every day. Lunch falls in the middle of a class or touring day and is at the participant's own expense. Allergies and dietary needs are reported on the registration form and we pass them on to the suppliers.
