About the trip

Itinerary
- Day 1
Flight and arrival in Hong Kong
Flight from Tel Aviv to Hong Kong, transfer to the hotel and the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade in the evening.
- Day 2
Victoria Peak and the Peak Tram
Up the Peak Tram for the harbour view, with Man Mo Temple on the way back down.
- Day 3
Star Ferry and Symphony of Lights
Crossing Victoria Harbour on the Star Ferry, then the Symphony of Lights from the promenade.
- Day 4
Rehearsals and Temple Street
Rehearsing the 1.5 minute routine, then the Temple Street night market in the evening.
- Day 5
Performance day in the park
The group performs on the parade route, and spends the rest of the day in the park.
- Day 6
Lantau and the Big Buddha
The Ngong Ping cable car over Lantau Island and up to the Tian Tan Big Buddha.
- Day 7
Flight home
A last morning in Hong Kong, transfer to the airport and the flight back to Tel Aviv.

Parents' FAQ
Where exactly does the group perform?
The performance is inside Hong Kong Disneyland, on the designated parade route rather than on a stage. The dancers perform a 1.5 minute routine that moves forward along the route, and repeat it four to six times. The music is supplied by the park.
My daughter is 12, is this right for her age?
The programme is open to dancers aged 6 to 18, in groups of 20 to 60. Twelve sits right in the middle of that range. Dancers perform in dance shoes or sneakers, not in sandals or barefoot.
What happens if it rains on performance day?
If a severe weather warning is issued the park may postpone the performance, and it is rescheduled within nine months rather than during the same trip. April is a rainy month in Hong Kong, so that is taken into account when the date is chosen. The rest of the programme carries on as planned.
How much time are the kids unsupervised?
Our escort is with the group alongside the school staff for the entire trip. The group moves around the city together, with a guide and a private coach. In the park and at the markets there is limited free time, in small groups and with a fixed meeting point.
