Parents' FAQ
What does my child actually do at the competition?
On day 3 the group has a rehearsal and then the competitive performance on the festival stage. Registration covers a main discipline plus one additional category. Diplomas and medals are handed out at the gala concert.
Who supervises the dancers during the trip?
The group's own teachers, plus a dedicated Art Travel escort who is with the group from departure to return. Everyone stays in the same hotel. All movement around the city is on a dedicated private coach.
What about food, and how much spending money?
The trip is on half board, meaning breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day. Lunches and personal expenses are on the parents. A little pocket money is worth it for the Christmas markets.
What is the weather like in Prague in December and what should we pack?
December in Prague is cold, and it is the peak of the Christmas market season. Pack a warm coat, hat, gloves and comfortable shoes for the cobblestones. We recommend keeping the performance costumes in the hand luggage.
